The sync mode can be used for the rules “Assign competency profiles” or “Add training requirements”
and helps to automate the respective assignment when the condition for the assignment changes.
Example:

Employees who have stored the value "Example Department" in the "Department" data field are assigned the selected competency profile. This competency profile is removed by the sync mode for employees who have not (or no longer) stored the value "Example Department".
This ensures that employees are assigned the correct competency profile when, for example, they change departments.
Notice
If you work with a company-wide competency profile, this must be stored in addition to the department/role-specific competency profiles in all rules with activated sync mode.
