Development Paths

Function of Development Paths

Development paths offer a structured way to guide employees through defined learning and development programs. They are ideal for onboarding processes, training programs or skills development. In contrast to classic Learning Journey , development paths do not have set dates or deadlines.
 

Access and Overview


1. Access
Development paths can be found in the main menu under Add-Ons.


2. Overview
In the overview you can see all existing development paths. Here you can:

  • Edit existing paths
  • Creating new development paths

Creating a New Development Path


1. Create a new path

  • Click the “+” symbol to create a new development path.
  • Enter a name and a short description.
  • Save the path to enter the editor.

 

 


2. Editor functions

  1. Edit the name and description using the gear icon.
  2. Delete the path using the trash can icon.
  3. Edit individual elements using the gear icon.
  4. Delete individual items using the trash can icon.
  5. Adjust the order of elements using drag and drop.
  6. Add new items using the “+” symbol.
     

Elements in a Development Path

After clicking on the “+” symbol you can choose from the following elements:


1. Further training

  • Assign specific training courses that must be completed in the path.


2. E-learnings

  • Integrate specific e-learnings that are part of the path.


3. Learning Journey

  • Assignment of complete Learning Journey see. Further information can be found here: @


4. Types of further training

  • Have employees participate in a training series and register themselves.


5. Interviews

  • Assignment of interviews based on stored interview guidelines.


6. Competency Score

  • Set a competency goal that the employee must achieve.


7. Tasks

  • Define tasks that can be freely formulated and manually marked as completed.
     

Allocation of Development Paths

Development paths can be assigned by HR or managers directly in the respective employee profile.


Assigning a Path

Select the desired development path in the employee’s profile.

Options:

  • Add: Add a path.
  • Open: Open the assigned path for viewing or editing.
  • Delete: Remove the path from the profile.

 

Completion Criteria for Development Paths

The progress of a development path is automatically tracked and completed as soon as the following conditions are met:

  • Further training: The employee has participated in the specified further training.
  • E-learning: The employee has completed the assigned e-learning.
  • Conversations: A conversation with the established guidelines was conducted and confirmed.
  • Training types: The employee has completed training of the specified type.
  • Competency score: The specified competency value has been achieved.
  • Learning Journey : The stored Learning Journey has been completed. 
     

Notice

Tasks must be checked off manually by the employee.

Development paths will be merged with the Learning Journey and will only be supported until the end of 2024.
