Competencies

Competency Overview

The competency overview provides a central view of all created competencies and their associated categories. You can find the competency overview in the main menu under “Competencies”.

After clicking on “Competencies” you will be taken to the overview with the following options:

 

 

1. Search function: Enables targeted searches for individual competencies.
2. Competency categories: Categories are displayed in blue to provide better structuring.
3. Competency display under categories: Competencies are displayed under the respective category.
4. Open competency scale: To edit the rating levels of a competency.
5. Add new competency: New competencies can be created using the “+” symbol.
6. Edit competency categories: Adjustments to categories as well as expanding and collapsing the competency display are possible here.
 

Creating a Competency

To add a new competency, click on the "+" symbol within the competency overview. An input mask opens with the following fields:

 

 

1. Competency name: Enter the name of the competency.
2. Assign category: Assign the competency to an existing category or create a new category using the “+”.
3. Set status: Select “Released” (available immediately) or “New” (must be reviewed by HR).
4. Competency description: Provide a description that can also be accessed in interviews.
5. Save: Click on "Save" to create the competency. After saving, another competency can be added directly.


Created competencies appear immediately in the competency overview and can be opened, edited or deleted there at any time. 
 

Storing Competencies in Training Type and E-learning

Competencies can be stored in training types and e-learning courses so that employees can see which specific competencies are developed through the respective measure. It is also possible to filter specifically for competencies in the learning library.

Notice

In order for competencies to be stored in e-learning courses, training courses and training types, the data field “Relevant Competencies” must be activated in the data fields area.

 

 


View for employees:

  • E-learning: Competencies are visible to employees within the e-learning.

 

 

  • Training type: Competencies also appear within the specific training types.
